Recovery based Interventions
While the impacts of domestic abuse on children are well-documented, there remains a significant gap in our understanding of what interventions support their recovery. This part of our research looks at different recovery-based interventions, examining their effectiveness in helping children and their non-abusing parents’ recovery from domestic abuse. We looked at two different approaches, therapeutic group work for children and mothers, and a youth work-based intervention. We examined how these different interventions supported children and their families to recover from the impacts of domestic abuse.
These podcasts are young people’s perspectives on the youth work intervention SPACE and their involvement in the CAFADA study.
